NEW YORK, May 21 — Vancouver’s rates see it top a list of average hotel room prices, according to a new survey.
According to Cheap Hotels, which conducted the survey of double rooms at 30 main destinations in Canada, four cities in the Greater Toronto Area accommodate the nation’s cheapest reputable hotels at less than CA$100 (about RM311) per night.
The eastern coastal city of Vancouver, with its views out over English Bay, is part of the third largest metropolitan area in Canada, behind only Toronto and Montreal in the west.
Most destinations in Canada reach their highest average rates in June, Cheap Hotels said, making it a good comparative period.
Only centrally located hotels rated at least three stars and with a positive average guest rating were considered for the survey.
