TOKYO, April 28 — Get ready to book your tickets to Japan, Disney fans, because a whole slew of new attractions has just been announced for Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea.

The crown jewel will be a recreation of the Beast’s castle, which will house a Japan-exclusive attraction in which guests ride through the structure in a recreation of the film’s storyline, the website added.

Belle’s village will sit adjacent to the castle, where it will offer new shopping outlets and restaurants.

Two other projects include a 1,500-seat theatre for indoor stage shows and a new attraction starring multi-faceted medical examiner/flying combat robot Baymax from Big Hero 6.

Meanwhile, over in the Toon Town of Tokyo Disneyland, Minnie Mouse will be getting a photo studio where fans can wear costumes and take pictures with her.

Next door, Disney Sea will be adding its own version of Soarin’, the flight-themed motion simulator that first appeared as Soarin’ Over California at Disney’s California Adventure park in 2001, RocketNews24 said.

It is understood that the entire expansion will cost approximately ¥75 billion (RM2.7 billion).

Soarin’ is slated to open in 2019. The other new attractions should roll out in the spring of 2020, just ahead of the Tokyo Olympics.
