SINGAPORE, March 26 — It’s no surprise that a lot of the activities this weekend are Easter-themed.

Right in the heart of the city, for example, is Chijmes Easter Party, which happens tomorrow at the CHIJMES Lawn. Here, children can partake in their own Easter Tea Party and egg-painting contest at 4pm. An egg hunt will commence after — these eggs are filled with S$100 (RM294) dining vouchers — and you can rock out to live band performances later in the evening. For more info, log on to http://chijmes.com.sg/easter-tea-party.

Let the kids indulge at the Chijmes Easter Tea Party.

Over at the Eco Lake at the Botanic Gardens, the Easter Garden Party, organised by the Little Pixie Box will feature craft activities, an egg hunt, face painting nibbles and drinks, which makes for a nice family outing.

But if you really want to make an event of Easter weekend then we suggest heading to Sentosa, where they have a slew of “eggs-tra” activities you can choose from.

Have an eggcellent time watching Lord Egg and his misadventures at Universal Studios Sentosa.

Easter Eggstravaganza at Universal Studios Singapore

To truly soak in the Easter festivities, head over to Universal Studios Singapore (USS). Not only is the theme park decked out with Easter decoration (read: colourful eggs, eggs and more eggs), there is an egg hunt where you will stand a chance to win a special Minion Easter egg. Another highlight is the return of the Lord of Eggingham, who will be doing a song-and-dance show called An unEGGspected Wedding at the Pantages Hollywood Theater. This time around, the Lord of Eggingham is forced into a marriage so that he can keep his throne. The show runs four times a day (11.30am, 1pm, 3.30pm and 5pm) and viewers get to take photos with Humpty Dumpty, the Egg Lord and The Easter Bunny as part of the treat. To top it off, check out the colourful Easter-themed Projection Mapping at the New York Public Library on Main Street, as characters such as Cookie Monster from Sesame Street will be dressed in their Easter finery for photo-taking sessions. Till April 17. Opening hours: 10am till 8pm from Monday to Thursday; 10am till 9.30pm from Friday to Sunday. The Eggsclusive Easter Bundle includes tickets to An unEGGspected Wedding and the Egg Hunt. For more details, visit http://www.rwsentosa.com/Homepage/Attractions/UniversalStudiosSingapore.

They have been stashed around the precinct from Mount Faber to Sentosa island. But it is not just about running around and finding the eggs. Download the app from its website and every time you spot the giant eggs, take a selfie and put it in the egg basket. There is swag to be won and the top egg hunter will win a one-night stay at Resorts World Sentosa TreeTop Loft, four pairs of Universal Studios Singapore adult one-day passes, and S$5,000 worth of Mapletree vouchers. Till April 17. For details, visit http://www.thegreateggventure.com.

Sentosa Egg Fiesta ― Garden edition at Palawan Beach

Meanwhile, Palawan Beach will be transformed into a “whimsical Easter Garden” this weekend. Of course, there’ll be colourful eggs for your photo op, along with fairies and bunny characters on the loose. Kid-friendly activities such as egg painting and bunny photo prop making should keep the little ones occupied. Until tomorrow. 10am to 3pm.
