SINGAPORE, Feb 20 — Changi International Airport’s first air-side transit hotel opened this week, DestinAsian reported yesterday.

Aerotel Singapore is located near the boarding gates at Terminal 1, the travel website added.

Developed by Hong Kong’s Plaza Premium Group, an independent airport lounge operator, the property features 70 rooms with three room types.

Aerotel Singapore claims to be the only transit hotel in the world to offer facilities such as an outdoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi, and a pool-side bar.

Along with free Wi-Fi, guests are also offered a selection of pillows and bathrooms with power showers, among other amenities.

The property is accessible 24 hours every day, with rates based on a six-hour block that starting from US$39 (RM160).
