BARCELONA, July 24 — Barcelona’s Majestic Hotel & Spa has launched a new service that will allow their guests to visit the Catalan capital on non-motorised scooters.

There are many fun ways to visit big cities.

New York can be visited by helicopter, Berlin by Segway.

Not to be left out, Barcelona’s unique features include the Montjuïc gondola lift, which gives tourists a spectacular bird’s eye view of the city.

This summer, the Catalan capital is stepping it up a notch as the Majestic Hotel & Spa launches “Barcelona by Scooter,” a new service that allows guests to rent non-motorized scooters on which to visit the city.

The fee for renting the scooters is €50 (RM209), but Penthouse Suite guests have complimentary access.

For this price, along with the scooter, guests will be provided a backpack filled with water and snacks, along with an iPad preloaded with a city map plus an app that curates specific themed itineraries, including culinary and culture focused rides.

The scooters are available in different sized versions, including a small one with three wheels, small two-wheelers and an adult-sized model so the whole family can ride together.

For added convenience, the scooters fold, making it easy to carry them into restaurants and historical sites.

It’s worth noting that the price does not depend on the length of rental, and guests can rent up to five scooters at a time.

The 5-star Majestic is located on the Paseo de Gracia, close to Gaudi’s famous buildings, and offers a rooftop pool, several restaurants, spa and gym facilities, beach club access and a variety of accommodations including spacious apartments. — AFP-Relaxnews
