Malaysia’s KLIA ranked sixth-best airport, Singapore is No.1

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 21 — Asia has the world’s best and worst airports, said a travel website.

Singapore’s Changi Airport is ranked the world’s best airport for 2014 and  Incheon International Airport in South Korea the second best, according to www.sleepinginairports.net.

Finland’s Helsinki Airport, Germany’s Munich Airport and Canada’s Vancouver International Airport are the world’s third, fourth and fifth best airports respectively.

Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport is ranked sixth best airport in the world.

The website has also published a list of the world’s worst airports, with Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Pakistani capital Islamabad named the worst airport.

King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Nepal’s Tribhuvan International Airport are ranked second and third worst airports in the world.  The Philippines’ Manila Ninoy Aquino International Airport, which was ranked the world’s worst airport last year, has improved its status to become the fourth worst airport this year.

Tashkent International Airport of Uzbekistan is named fifth worst airport, Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport of Italy eighth worst and New York’s LaGuardia International Airport 10th worst airport in the world.

The ranking was determined based on interviews with travellers on comfort,convenience, cleanliness and customer service. — Bernama
