KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 — Starwood Hotels And Resorts Malaysia was thrust into the limelight recently when four of its hotels won the 2014 TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice award.

The properties are the Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral, Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, The Westin Kuala Lumpur and The Andaman, a luxury resort in Langkawi.

The recognition is based on highly-rated businesses as reviewed by travellers around the world, the hotel group said in a statement.

It said the recognition was in line with the Starwood Hotels and Resorts Malaysia’s commitment to providing warm hospitality and top notch services.

A greater milestone was also marked for the company when eight of its hotels were announced as winners of TripAdvisor’s 2014 Certificate of Excellence.

The award by TripAdvisor, the world’s largest travel community, is given to outstanding hospitality business that have received praise and an overall rating of four or higher by global travellers. — Bernama
