IPOH, June 23 — Oldtown Bhd, operator of the Oldtown White Coffee cafe chain and maker of Oldtown White Coffee instant beverages and products, today unveiled a series of murals known as the ‘Art of Oldtown’ by renowned artist Ernest Zacharevic.

The murals celebrate Ipoh Old Town, showcasing its heritage and uniqueness to Malaysians and tourists alike, executive director Alex Chuah said at a press conference at the brand’s Ipoh Padang outlet here today.

Chuah, who is also Oldtown White Coffee chief operating officer, said Zacharevic has faithfully captured the spirit of the local coffee culture in the seven stunning murals, which he completed in one and a half months.

“Since the earliest days of my travels in Malaysia, I have always heard stories about the culture and heritage of Ipoh.

“I am very thankful to Oldtown for allowing me to leave my mark on this wonderful town,” said the 26-year-old Lithuanian-born artist. — Bernama
