NEW YORK, June 7 — Holiday rental site HomeAway has emerged as the best short-term vacation booking portal according to a newly released survey that looks at how some of the major players on the market fare amongst their users.

For its rapid response rate, helpfulness and accessibility, HomeAway was rated the top site for its customer service, topping VRBO and Airbnb.

After polling 684 respondents in 47 countries, Needmorerentals.com released its report “The Good, The Bad & The Ugly” about how online rental sites rank for users and hosts.

In addition to best customer service, HomeAway is also the most used rental booking site for homeowners and hosts, and likewise produces the most leads, outperforming VRBO, FlipKey and Airbnb.
