Brazil and Singapore agree to waive tourist visas
Malay Mail

RIO DE JANEIRO, Jan 10 — Brazil and Singapore agreed to mutually waive tourist visas requirements for their citizens, according to yesterday’s Government Gazette.

The agreement, set to take effect in the next few days, applies to leisure visits of no more than 30 days, and will only require travellers to produce valid passports.

No changes are made to requirements for work, resident or other types of visas.

Brazil has similar agreements with other countries. For example, citizens of the Southern Common Market (Mercosur) member countries only need official ID cards to travel to any other member countries.

European Union countries do not require visas from Brazilians who stay for less than 30 days, but valid passports are necessary. — Bernama
