KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 24 — If you’re looking for more options in the telco space, there’s a new player in town. It isn’t clear if they are offering a postpaid or a prepaid plan, but it promises something different from the usual traditional plans.

What’s interesting is its promise to be a telco that’s based on free choice, flexibility and the power of the people. The official invite also mentions the following:

Something exciting is happening in Malaysia’s telco industry. A brand new telco player is out to empower users simply because they believe #youdoitbetter!

When we did a search for the hashtag, we found these tweets:

The new provider is called Yoodo and they are focusing a lot on customisation based on the two videos they have released so far. This could be similar to tapp by Digi which allows you to design your own plan according to your own preference.

The launch event for this new telco brand is taking place on 30 January but we expect more details to be revealed earlier on 29 January. — SoyaCincau
