KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 — With Hari Raya Aidilfitri around the corner, even Apple has gotten into the festive mood with curated app recommendations for the season.

Entertainment options

If you’re an Apple Music subscriber, Apple’s just created its own Ramadan Playlist with classics that include Saloma’s Selamat Hari Raya and Datuk Sudirman’s Balik Kampung.

Check out the playlist here.

To keep the kids occupied, there’s also family-friendly movies on sale for under RM30, a list which you can browse here.

There’s also tonton for over 29,000 hours of the best Malaysian dramas or if Hindi films are your jam, check out Spuul.

Shopping

The best place to look at the best of Raya fashion online has to be Zalora, which has worked with local designers for some very impressive exclusive collections. Get some inspiration for next Raya or do some last-minute shopping here.

Fancy spoiling yourself over the long weekend? Fave offers deals and discounts at spas, restaurants and fitness studios available in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta and Singapore.

Fun and games

New selfie app Magic will detect facial expressions and add animations to your Raya selfies.

There’s also, of course, the most popular category in the App Store: games. New to the store is Kami 2: a fun distraction with over 100 handcrafted puzzles.

Then there’s also the hilariously distracting Tape It Up where your mission is to fix everything with tape. Run out of tape? Use cats. Really.

There’s also the new game Sky Dancer, which is a different take on infinite running games. Instead you fall, you jump and pretty much dance your way to your next objective.

While these are some of Apple’s highlighted apps, you could still sift through the massive App Store to find even more distractions to keep you entertained through the really long weekend. At least, you know where to start.
