BEIJING, Sept 21 — China’s most famous animated rabbit is about to get its own movie.

‘Tuzki’, the emoji rabbit featured on China’s social media platform WeChat, is set to star in a cartoon scheduled for release in 2018, The Guardian reported. Tencent Pictures, part of the Tencent entertainment group that owns WeChat, is producing the film.

The cartoon rabbit, which first came into existence in 2006, was one of the first animated emojis to be made available to WeChat users.

Details regarding the script have yet to be revealed, but with an estimated over 700 million active users benefiting from the WeChat service on Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows Phone and Symbian mobile devices across the nation and worldwide, high audience figures are surely guaranteed. — AFP-Relaxnews
