SAN FRANCISCO, June 19 — Sony’s pirate-themed game Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End has several cool Easter eggs that references a classic adventure game.

In a room mid-way through the game, the player will find portraits of several pirates, along with a puzzle to solve.

One of these portraits shows a man much younger than the other pirates and as the painting was half-burnt, it did not show a name, only a sigil of a monkey.

Longtime fans of adventure games will recognise the pirate as the main character of a pirate-themed adventure game series called Monkey Island created by LucasArts back in 1990.

Known for his catchphrase, “I am Guybrush Threepwood, mighty pirate”, the bumbling character and his humorous adventures was a hit with gamers.
