NEW YORK, June 3 — Yesterday, Mojang, developers of Microsoft’s Minecraft, announced that the game has sold over 100 million copies, averaging at 53,000 per day in 2016.

Minecraft is known as a sandbox game, where users dig and build constructions from blocks in a 3D world with varying habitats and terrains. It has become immensely popular with children over the years since its conception in 2011 by Swedish programmer Markus Persson.

To celebrate crossing the 100 million milestone, developers Mojang have put together an infographic to share exactly how players across the world engage with the game. Minecraft is most popular in China, followed by India and the US.
