All you need to do is talk to Google on your smartphone or type your search, “What does a humpback whale say?” and you’ll get a picture of the animal and the sound it makes.

Currently, there are a total of 19 animal sounds available: Ape, Cat, Cow, Dog (wolf), Duck, Elephant, Horse, Lion, Moose, Owl, Pig, Raccoon, Rooster, Sheep, Tiger, Turkey, Turtle, Bowhead whale, Humpback whale and Zebra.

In a Google+ post, Google Malaysia said that the sounds were recorded from actual animals, and not computer generated.

The company added that the initial selection comprised the top searched for animals on Google and were also considered to have some of the most iconic sounds.

Animal Sounds work on Android and iOS devices as well as the web.
