SAN FRANCISCO, Aug 7 — Football fans can now pledge their allegiances on Twitter with new emoji.

Twitter has added a new feature that allows fans of the English Premier League to call up team crests after typing hashtags for their favourite teams, such as #saintsfc for Southampton, #MUFC for Manchester United and #CFC for Chelsea.

The micro-blogging site did the same for the World Cup, rolling out emoji for national teams last summer. — AFP-Relaxnews
