Tinder of the sky? New app connects you to other passengers on your flight
The new MileHi app will help you socialise and network with your fellow flyers.

LONDON, July 15 — Forget taking a nap on your next flight as a new app has been launched for business travellers to spend their flying hours networking.

The app — cheekily named MileHi — allows travellers to find out who else will be on their flight and gives them the opportunity to connect online ahead of their journey.

However, it has already been dubbed the “Tinder of the sky” because the online matchmaking app connects people in the vicinity and allows participants to accept or reject prospective dates with a single “swipe” according to whether they consider them hot or not.

Richard Lloyd, a British entrepreneur Lloyd who founded the new ‘MileHi’ app which launched this week doesn’t rule out such amorous encounters but insists it is not its prime purpose.

App users tap in their flight details and contact fellow passengers — who have also downloaded the app — either through group chat or private messages. It also allows flyers to look at who is travelling to the same city on an earlier or later flight.
