SINGAPORE, April 8 — NEC Corporation announced today that it has completed the delivery of core technical elements for the INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre that is expected to begin full-scale operations by month-end.
In a statement today, NEC said the INTERPOL Digital Crime Centre’s operations covers a wide range of areas essential to the assistance of national authorities, cybercrime investigation support, research and development in the areas of digital crime and digital security,” it said.
NEC said it has delivered a digital forensic platform and various other technical resources to help INTERPOL establish the new centre.
“It will showcase its broad array of advanced cyber security solutions at the INTERPOL World 2015, an event scheduled to be held at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre here, from April 14 to 16, 2015.
“The centre will also demonstrate its latest public safety solutions, including the biometrics identification technology adopted by over 500 customers in 40 countries and intelligent video surveillance system,” it added. — Bernama
