NEW YORK, July 8 — ‘Invasion’ is the title of the third pack of downloadable content for ‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’. Unlike the first two, it doesn’t includes any new weapons, but rather some cool looking brand new maps.
Right now you’re looking at the map ‘Pharaoh’. Archeology has never been more fun, as you get to fight in an old Egyptian palace with pyramids in the background.
Another map from ‘Invasion’ is ‘Departed’. It has nothing to do with the Martin Scorsese classic, but is set in a town in rural Mexico during a Day of the Dead celebration.
Then there’s the map ‘Mutiny’, a secret cove on a remote pirate island. With truly authentic looks, this one has everything a real swashbuckler could want, like abandoned trading posts, prison cells and a pirate ship.
Also included is ‘Favela’, a refreshed version of the fan favourite map from ‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’. They probably remade it due to the World Cub in Brazil. You won’t be fighting any hooligans or angry soccer players though, but rather some highly trained military baddies.
‘Call of Duty: Ghosts’ also introduced the Extinction feature where you kill Cryptids, an ancient race that existed before the dinosaurs did. ‘Invasion’ has a new map where you fight them in ancient catacombs.
