LOS ANGELES, Dec 13 — The year 2024 has been great for gamers with so many exciting titles coming out for both consoles and PC.

However, one surprise hit managed to charm gamers and critics alike — Team Asobi’s platformer Astro Bot, which may be the PlayStation 5’s own inadvertent Mario.

In this year’s edition of The Game Awards, Astro Bot has now won the "Game of the Year” award, beating other great games such as Balatro, Black Myth: Wukong, Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Metaphor: ReFantazio.
