KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 7 — National Moto3 rider Muhammad Hakim Danish Ramli is looking for a fresh start at the 2026 Indonesian Grand Prix (GP) after enduring a challenging weekend at the previous round, the Japanese GP, last Sunday.
The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider said in a statement today that he wanted to capitalise on the experience gained at the Motegi Circuit to put in a more competitive performance at the Mandalika International Circuit from October 9 to 11.
Despite still recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in three crashes during the Japanese GP, the 19-year-old remains focused on returning to his best form and continuing to collect championship points at the Indonesian GP.
The Mandalika International Circuit is not unfamiliar territory for the Terengganu-born rider, who competed at the venue in the Asia Talent Cup about four years ago.
“The circuit has several high-speed corners and also some fairly technical sections, especially in the first and final sectors, which feature sharp corners.
“So, I need to improve my speed and performance in those sections. As for my shoulder, I want to focus on physiotherapy to make a full recovery before competing at the circuit this week,” he said.
Hakim Danish finished 13th after starting from 21st on the grid at the Japanese GP.
Having collected 105 points, Hakim Danish is currently seventh overall in the 2026 Moto3 World Championship. — Bernama
