LONDON, Jan 29 — Russia’s Artur Beterbiev retained his world light-heavyweight titles with an eighth-round stoppage victory over Britain’s Anthony Yarde yesterday.

Beterbiev, the holder of the WBO, WBC and IBF belts, proved too strong for 31-year-old Yarde at the Wembley Arena.

The Montreal-based Russian is now undefeated in 19 fights. — AFP
