KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) will be putting in its official bid to host the 2022 Men’s Hockey World Cup Championship to the International Hockey Federation (FIH) next week.

MHC president, Datuk Seri Subahan Kamal said the governing body would also be sending its bid to FIH to host the 2019 Men’s World Series Finals and the 2021 Women’s World Series Finals next week.

Malaysia had hosted the World Cup twice, in 1975 and 2002. 

"I can say we are almost certain of organising the Men’s World Series Finals in June 2019 as FIH has offered it to us and exco members have mandated us to organise the tournament,” he said.
