KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 — Kedah climbed up three spots to sixth place in the Super League table after coming from behind to beat PKNS FC, 4-3 in a dramatic match at the Shah Alam Stadium tonight.
The team’s second win from four matches saw the Red Eagles level with Selangor and Melaka on points, but sit under Selangor due to the goal difference.
PKNS FC were leading at the end of the first half through goals from Muhammad Faris Ramli in the 30th minute and Mahalli Jasuli in the 45th minute with Kedah’s only goal coming through a penalty kick by Liridon Krasniqi in the 32nd minute.
But Kedah came back charged up after the break, and fired three more goals through Krasniqi in the 55th minute, Baddrol Bakhtiar (67th minute) and Muhammad Ariff Farhan Mat Isa at the end of the second half to make it 4-2.
PKNS FC finally scored their third through Mahalli's freekick in the final moments of the match, but it was too little to late for the Red Ants.
Earlier, Perak State Development Corporation Football Club (PKNP FC) which began the night sitting at the bottom of the league, beat Kuala Lumpur 2-1 in a match at the Penang State Stadium in Batu Kawan.
The victory allowed the home side to climb four rungs to eighth place.
