KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 1 ― Women’s doubles pair, Chow Mei Kuan-Lee Meng Yean continued their winning style by securing a semi-final berth at the Korea Masters badminton championship.
In the match played at the Yeomju Gymnasium in Gwangju City, the 2017 Kuala Lumpur SEA Games silver medalists came from 3-8 down to secure the first set in 21-17.
In the second set, the 2012 World Junior Championships bronze medalists led all the way to demolish the South Koreans 21-8 and set up a clash against the winners of Kim So Yeong-Kong Hee Yong of South Korea and China’s Liu Xuanxuan-Xia Yuting in the last four tomorrow.
Yoo Jung-Hye Rin had swept away Chang Ching Hui-Yang Ching Tun of Taiwan, 21-11, 21-6, in the second round yesterday.
All the other Malaysians ― Lim Yin Loo-Yap Cheng Wen, Goh V Shem-Teo Ee Yi, Soong Joo Ven, Chong Wei Feng, Soniia Cheah and Chan Peng Soon-Cheah Yee See, fell by the wayside in the second round, yesterday. ― Bernama
