The tour, which sees competitors race up steep ski slopes, reached its fifth and final stop yesterday at the Swiss ski resort and competitors were treated with perfect sunny conditions for the climb.
Switzerland’s Jonathan Schmid won the men’s race, just edging Salcher into second. However, the runner-up spot was enough for Salcher for claim the overall title.
Compatriot Mair stormed to overall victory in the women’s event to make sure she claimed the female overall title. — Reuters
