KUANTAN, Dec 14 — Pahang's success in winning the Rulers' Gold Cup this time shows that the state is not short of new faces to be featured for the Malaysia League.
Team manager, Zulhamizan Zakaria said he was very satisfied with the performance of his wards and did not deny that he would offer playing contracts to several players for the Premier League next season.
"The game tonight (last night) proved that Pahang are not short of talents to be highlighted in the Premier League and Super League.
"Skipper Fauzi Roslan appeared to have played outstandingly, I was happy he scored four goals but was also sad that this would be his final contribution for Pahang before moving to another team.
"Several other players played well too and I will offer them contracts to play for the Kuantan FA next season,” he told reporters here last nght.
Zulhamizan said that among the other players were Mohamad Hariz Irfan, Baqiuddin Samsudin, Nabilah Khan Razali and goalkeeper, Mohd Nur Kamarullah.
Meanwhile, skipper Fauzi Roslan said he was most grateful for Pahang's victory after having played with strong team spirit throughout the 90 minutes of play.
"This is a gift for Pahang before I move to join Melaka United and this victory also gave me the confidence to assist my new team in the next season,” he said.
Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) coach, Eddy Gapil said he was a bit disappointed with the style of play put up by his players as it was far below their actual capability. — Bernama
