PETALING JAYA, Dec 4 — Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) president Tunku Imran Ja’afar urged SEA Games Organising Committee (Masoc) to hand over an in-depth report for next year’s Kuala Lumpur Games immediately.

Tunku Imran said some of the 11 Southeast Asian countries have been asking for the details.

"Masoc did sent us a report but it wasn’t detailed,” said Imran who is SEA Games Federation Council Chairman and Masoc deputy chairman.

"Masoc need to hand over the specific details on the accommodations — where the athletes will stay — transportation and most importantly, venues.

"Bukit Jalil is undergoing renovation. We need to know the progress. Will it be ready on time? How and where will the test events be done?

"This are the details the countries are keen to know,” he said after chairing the last OCM executive board meeting of the year yesterday.

The Masoc chairman is Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin while the chief executive officer is Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong.

With regards Myanmar, Tunku Imran said OCM would welcome their participation in next year’s Games.

"We are aware of the violent treatment of the Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar but we should never mix politics, religion and sports,” said Tunku Imran.

Meanwhile, OCM deputy president Norza Zakaria said the first SEA Games team manager meeting would be held tomorrow.
