KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 — Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak today congratulated national Moto3 racer Khairul Idham Pawi on winning the German Moto 3 Grand Prix at Sachsenring Circuit yesterday.

"Congratulations to Khairul on winning the German Moto3 Grand Prix. Keep up  the effort to win more championships and glory for the nation," said the Prime Minister on Twitter.

The victory is Khairul Idham's second after the Argentina GP in April.

The 17-year-old Honda Team Asia representative from Kampung Gajah, Perak proved that he really is 'king of wet circuits' by leading the race all the way to the finishing line clocking 47 minutes and 07.763 seconds.

Second and third placing went to Italy's Andrea Locatelli of the Leopard Racing team and Enea Bastianini of the Gresini Racing team.

With the win, Khairul Idham is now 10th in the Moto3 standings after collecting 54 points. South African racer Brad Binder of Red Bull KTM Ajo is still leading with 159 points. — Bernama
