KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 — Moto2 rider Hafizh Syahrin is ready to raise his game as the Moto2 World Championship resumes at the German Grand Prix this weekend.

The world championship’s round nine race will be held at Deutschland Sachsenring in Germany.

The Petronas Raceline Malaysia Moto2 rider in the statement issued by Petronas said the Sachsenring Circuit is a tight and twisty circuit, yet it is a very challenging track.

"Generally, I am at ease with the layout so we look forward at going straight to work in Free Practice 1 (FP1). We will start with last year’s setup on the new shock and have last year’s shock as backup,” he said in a statement.

Hafizh who previously retired from the Dutch Grand Prix with seven laps remaining due to lack of rear grip said he will give his best as always this week.

Despite the setback, Hafizh remains optimistic about getting his campaign back on track at the physically demanding Sachsenring Circuit where he has yet to pick up points since stepping into the world championship two years ago.

Currently, Hafizh is ranked eighth on the Moto2 world standings with 60 points. — Bernama
