PETALING JAYA, May 3 — The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has been urged to act against the Kelantan Football Association (Kafa) for failure to pay back wages to their players.

Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) chief executive officer Kevin Ramalingan said the FAM has to act against Kafa if they failed to resolve the issue by May 31.

“Should KAFA fail to do this, we urge the FAM must to consider drastic action including deducting points from Kelantan.

“If the points deduction failed to resolve the issue, the FAM should consider relegating Kelantan to the Premier League while the last straw would be to deregister Kelantan form the Malaysian Football League,” he told reporters after chairing the FA Cup final 2016 Organising Committee meeting at Wisma FAM, Kelana Jaya, here today.

Ramalingam said FMLLP could not take action against Kafa because players’ wages, conract and discipline come under the jurisdiction of the FAM. — Bernama
