Kuantan FA’s Zulhamizan slapped with top penalty at FAM disciplinary hearings

KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 — Kuantan FA official Zulhamizan Zakariah has been slapped with a seven-month ban from football-related activities with immediate effect and fined RM3,000 for ungentlemanly conduct during two Premier League matches.

The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) disciplinary committee found Zulhamizan of misconduct during the match between Kuantan FA and UiTM FC at the UiTM FC Stadium in Shah Alam on February 26.

Zulhamizan was also found guilty of a similar offence during an FA Cup match between Kuantan FA and Perak at the Perak Stadium in Ipoh on March 5, FAM said in a statement today.

Malaysian Football Coaches Association (PJBM) member Nick Sham Abdullah was suspended for six months and fined RM1,500 for acting as the Malaysian All Stars coach during a friendly against Persib Bandung at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium in Bandung, Indonesia, on October 24 last year.

Three other players involved in the FAM Cup competition — M. Anbalagan (Megah Murni), Muhammad Fauzi Abdul Kadar (MISC-MIFA) and Ahmad Faizal Md Salleh (Kilat FC) were each handed two-month suspensions and fined RM1,500.

The friendly between Malaysian All Stars and Persib Bandung was not sanctioned by Fifa.

Sabah’s Maxsius Musa was suspended for four matches and fined RM2,000 for showing an obscene sign towards the match official during a Premier League match between Sabah and Melaka at the Likas Stadium in Kota Kinabalu on March 11.

Perlis player Azmizi Azmi was handed a two-match ban for dangerous play in a Premier League match against Kuala Lumpur at the Tuanku Syed Putra Stadium in Kangar on March 5 while Kuala Lumpur import player Mario Karlovic was also handed a two-match ban for a similar offence in the same match. — Bernama
