ALOR STAR, March 2 — D’Herbs Healthy Sdn Bhd is almost certain to be unveiled sponsor of 2015 Premier League champions Kedah in the Malaysia League this year.

Its founder, Datuk Aliff Shukri Kamarzaman, said discussion with the Kedah Football Association (KFA) and Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah had been fruitful.

“We are 99.9 per cent sure of being the sponsor of the Red Hawks (Kedah team) and are waiting for the KFA to decide on a few things. No condition such as jersey or new paint for stadium.

“If the KFA make a decision soon, we will complete the sponsorship process to boost Kedah football,” he said when met after the match between Kedah and Kelantan at the Darulaman Stadium here last night.

D’Herbs chose Kedah because they are impressed with the spirit and unity of the supporters, who come from all over the state to catch their favourite team in action.

Talk had been rife that D’Herbs wanted to withdraw from sponsoring Kedah during the mentri besar crisis. Discussion resumed after the crisis ended.

On the proposed tagline, “terlajak goal”, Aliff Shukri said D’Herbs would leave it to the KFA and Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to decide.

Kedah beat Kelantan 2-1 in their Super League match last night. The Red Hawks scored through Carlos Eduardo (67th min) and Mohd Syafiq Ahmad (81st min). Indra Putra Mahayuddin opened scoring for the Red Warriors in the 29th min. — Bernama
