KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 5 — The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) has agreed to reduce the fine on the Football Association of Negri Sembilan (PBNS) over a case of letting off flares at the end of an FA Cup second round match between Negri Sembilan and Penang at the Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi on March 17, 2015.

FAM’s Appeals Committee, which met today, agreed to reduce the fine from RM55,000 to RM30,000 after considering an appeal by PBNS, FAM said in a statement today.

The national football governing body also announced that it agreed to reduce the period of suspension from six months to two months on former Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) goalkeeper, Mohd Anis Faron Ahmad Arsidi.

The two-month suspension will take effect after he registers with any team after this.

FAM, however, decided to increase the fine on Mohd Anis Faron from RM5,000 to RM10,000.

The player was also required to tender an open apology to FAM, seven days from today for hurling insulting statements against FAM in his Facebook site earlier.

The FAM Disciplinary Committee which met on June 10 2015 fined Mohd Anis Faron RM5,000 and suspended him for six months after he was found guilty of damaging the changing room door of the Penang City Stadium after a 2015 Premier League match between Penang and JDT II on April 3 last year. — Bernama
