KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 31 — Embattled national body builder Sazali Samad's service in the police force will not be affected by the four-year suspension for a doping offence said Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.

He said Sazali, winner of 10 Mr Universe titles, will remain as a sub-inspector in the police force although the Malaysian Body Building Federation had handed a four-year suspension after he had failed a random dope test.

"We took into consideration, his contribution, sacrifices and excellent track record to the police force and the country," he told reporters here today.

Sazali's four-year suspension starts on Sept 22, 2015 which was the day his urine sample had tested positive.

The policeman has also won four National Sportsman of the Year titles, including for 2015. — Bernama
