KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 28 — The National women's junior hockey team will be eyeing a top three-placing in the 7th Women's Junior Asia Cup in Changzhou, China.
National junior head coach Lailin Abu Hassan said preparations had entered the third phase while the tournament will be held from Sept 5 to 13.
"The first phase started in June. In this phase my focus will be to strengthen their physical and mental strength to face teams like India and China who were the finalist in the last edition," he told reporters here today.
Malaysia are drawn in Group A with China, India, North Korea and Singapore while Group B comprise South Korea, Japan, Thailand and Taiwan.
