KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 — National divers could only manage 10th spot out of 12 pairs that competed in the men’s 10m synchronised platform at the 16th FINA World Aquatics Championships held at the Aquatics Palace in Kazan, Russia.
Chew Yiwei/Ooi Tze Liang accumulated 386.52 points after six dives, according to the tournament official website, www.kazan2015.com.
World diving powerhouse, China continued their remarkable winning streak when Chen Aisen/Lin Yue claimed the gold medal with 495.72 points, while London Olympics silver medallist Ivan Garcia Navarro/German Sanchez Sanchez from Mexcio finished second on 448.89 points.
Roman Izmailov/Victor Minibaev of Russia settled for the bronze medal after accumulating 441.33 points.
Later today, national women’s pair Pandelela Rinong/Leong Mun Yee will be competing in the women’s 10m synchronised platform. — Bernama
