Football Association of Penang: Reschedule matches to after Ramadan
Malay Mail

GEORGE TOWN, June 23 (Bernama) -- The Football Association of Penang (FAP) wants the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to reschedule the current match fixtures.

Its president Datuk Seri Nazir Ariff Mushir Ariff proposed that the matches be postponed and resumed after Ramadan, “to be fair to the players and their supporters”.

“The crowd that came to watch last night’s game only numbered around 1,100.  Usually we can draw about 60,000 to 70,000. The collection is not even sufficient to cover our expenses.

“I’m sure FAM would not be willing to foot the bill. So I hope they’ll agree to my suggestion,” he told reporters last night.
