SEA Games: Singapore shooters bag bronze medal

SINGAPORE, June 9 — National shooters Jasmine Ser, Cheng Jian Huan and Sally Li have won a bronze medal for Singapore in the women’s 50m-rifle prone team event at the National Shooting Centre today.

The Singaporeans shot a total of 1829.1 to clinch third spot, with Thailand and Malaysia claiming gold and silver respectively in1869.3 and 1839.0.

“Today the two of them (Ser and Li) performed well and one of the shooters was a little weaker than her usual performance,” said Singapore rifle coach Elham Hashemi Masoumi.

“Malaysia and Thailand are really strong in the small bore rifle so this bronze is a really good result.”
