KUALA TERENGGANU, March 7 ― The T-Team's 3-1 victory over Johor Darul Takzim II last night was a timely boost to the confidence of the squad under Tomislav Steinbruckner in the Premier League.

It was the first win for the club team from four league matches after suffering two losses and a draw earlier.

Steinbruckner said changing their game style with more intensive training appeared to have paid off in the match last night.

“The Awakening of my team (T-Team) is not easy, but it was done after weathering a hard and vigorous workout. I hope my players can keep their performance at their best with a full strength, effort and energy,” he told reporters after the game at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah Stadium here.

Steinbruckner said he did not face much problems in forming T-Team as most of them were young and quality players.

In fact he said the effective combination of imported and local players had raised T-Team's game.

The goals for T-Team came from Farhod Tadjiev in the 44th minute and 47th minute as well as Mohd Nor Hakim Hassan in the dying minutes of the match while  Leandro Sebastian Velazquez pulled one goal back for JDT II in the 71st minute. ― Bernama
