SINGAPORE, Nov 29 — Former Singapore goalkeeper Ahmad Wartam,79, died here yesterday, said the Football Association of Singapore (FAS).

Ahmad, who is also the father of LionsXII head coach Fandi, spent one month in Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

“Our deepest sympathies are with Fandi’s family and our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult period,” the FAS said in its Facebook page yesterday. — Bernama
