COPENHAGEN, Aug 26 ― Revenge is on the mind of Malaysia's Lai Pei Jing when she and her mixed doubles partner Tan Aik Quan meet husband and wife pair Chris and Gabriella Adcock from England in the second round of the BWF World Championships 2014 here today.

At the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland in July, Lai who had partnered Chan Peng Soon then, lost 14-21 and 26-28 to the couple.

"If can, I want to redeem my defeat to them even though this time my partner is Tan. We are raring to go although they have been seeded fourth here.

"We will work out a strategy together with our coach (Jeremy Gan) on the match against the English pair," she told reporters after the pair won their first round match against Chan Yun Lung and Ying Suet Tse of Hong Kong 21-14 and 21-17 at the Ballerup Super Arena here yesterday.

Chris and Gabriella received a 'bye' in the first round.

Tan, meanwhile, said this time around they expeced to at least reach the quarter-finals after not getting past the first round at the last edition in Guangzhou, China last year.
