KUANTAN, Sept 18 — Pahang football coach Dollah Salleh wants the momentum demonstrated by his players last night to be maintained to meet one more challenge in group C, to qualify for the next round.

He said undeniably the Pahang players had focused fully on winning the match against Negeri Sembilan to avoid being dropped from the competition if it drew or lost.

“Nevertheless, we still have one more match and it is difficult (meeting Kelantan on their own turf) but I believe we can do something to qualify to proceed to the next round if we can maintain tonight’s game and spirit,” he said when met by reporters after the match against Negeri Sembilan here last night.

Overall, he said all the players demonstrated good form and adhered to instructions and he found difficulty in determining the best player.

Meanwhile, Negeri Sembilan chief coach Ridzuan Abu Shah admitted that mistakes on the part of the state’s squad had resulted in the 0-3 loss to Pahang. — Bernama
