Singapore cops arrest driver after lorry overturns and crashes into height limit sign in Bukit Timah

SINGAPORE, Oct 10 — A 24-year-old male lorry driver was arrested after his lorry overturned and crashed into a height limit road signage in Bukit Timah on Thursday (October 8) night.

The incident happened at about 7.25pm along Dunearn Road towards Newton Circus.

Photographs of the aftermath posted in a motoring group shows the overturned lorry lying on its left side.

Its driver cabin was lodged into the signage’s structure and the slip road for vehicles to U-turn onto Bukit Timah Road was unpassable to traffic.

The police told AsiaOne that no injuries were reported in the accident, adding that the lorry driver was arrested for driving without due care and attention.

He is assisting with ongoing police investigations. — AsiaOne
