SINGAPORE, Sept 6 — Singapore Airlines (SIA) has cancelled a series of flights between Singapore and Jakarta today following volcanic activity from the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau in Indonesia, the carrier said in an advisory posted on X.

The airline said the cancellations affect flights scheduled throughout 6 September 2026, covering both outbound services from Singapore and return flights from Jakarta. Among the affected services are SQ950, SQ952, SQ956, SQ958, SQ960, SQ962, SQ964 and SQ966 from Singapore, as well as SQ953, SQ955, SQ957, SQ959, SQ961, SQ963, SQ965 and SQ967 from Jakarta. Two additional relief flights, SQ968D and SQ951D, were also cancelled.

SIA warned that the situation “remains fluid” and that more flights between the two cities may be disrupted depending on volcanic ash conditions. The airline advised passengers to check its Flight Status page for real‑time updates and to ensure their contact details are updated via the Manage Booking portal to receive notifications.

Customers who booked directly with SIA may request rebooking or refunds through the airline’s Assistance Request Form, while those who purchased tickets through travel agents or partner carriers are advised to contact their respective providers. SIA apologised for the inconvenience caused to travellers.
