SINGAPORE, Aug 11 — Visitors heading to Singapore over the next three months will be offered new transport perks aimed at pulling travellers beyond the usual downtown circuit and into neighbourhoods such as Katong-Joo Chiat, Tiong Bahru and Mandai.

According to the Straits Times, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and Grab have launched a campaign that gives tourists two bonus ride vouchers when they sign up for the Singapore Grab Travel Pass — a bundle of discounts covering transport, food and activities.

One voucher offers 20 per cent off rides to selected precincts, while another gives a one-time 20 per cent discount for trips to nightlife spots including Holland Village, Clarke Quay, Boat Quay and Robertson Quay between 7pm and 4am.

The initiative runs from August to October, overlapping with major events such as the Singapore River Festival and the Formula One Singapore Grand Prix. STB hopes the partnership will encourage travellers to explore the city’s neighbourhoods “one pocket at a time”, tapping Grab’s regional reach to target visitors planning their trips.

The campaign builds on STB’s push to spotlight lesser-known attractions under its “We don’t wait for fun” branding, which targets younger travellers across nine markets. Singapore expects 17 million to 18 million international arrivals in 2026, with tourism spending projected at US$31 billion (RM127 billion) to US$32.5 billion.
