SINGAPORE, July 16 — Canadian music superstar Celine Dion has sparked speculation among Singapore fans that she could be planning a return to the country after sharing a series of posts recalling her previous visit.
The My Heart Will Go On singer uploaded several photos of Singapore taken in 2018, when she held her first concert in the city-state, followed by another post thanking the country for the memories, according to CNA.
Dion’s first post on Tuesday featured three images of herself in Singapore, believed to have been taken during her visit for her sold-out performance at Marina Bay Sands that year.
The concert drew 6,000 fans and marked the singer’s first show in Singapore.
She added to the speculation on Wednesday night after posting another image of herself near a private jet, dressed casually in sunglasses, with the caption: “Singapore, thanks for the memories!”
It remains unclear whether the photo was taken during her 2018 visit or recently, but the timing of the posts has prompted fans to wonder if the singer has plans to return.
One fan commented: “I’m confused where is this Singapore appreciation coming from if you’re not actually here?”
Another suggested Dion could potentially be hinting at a future residency at Marina Bay Sands.
Dion is scheduled to perform a concert residency at France’s Plenitude Arena from September to October this year, with further shows planned in May 2027.
The upcoming performances will mark her return to a full series of live shows after she was diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that forced her to step back from performing.
She previously made a one-off return to the stage at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
