Desmond Lee Soon Kiat appeared in a district court today facing multiple charges, including dangerous and careless driving, driving under the influence of drugs and intoxicating substances, assault, criminal trespass and possession of electronic vaporisers, including two etomidate-laced pods, commonly known as Kpods.
According to court documents, Lee allegedly began his string of offences on Oct 8, 2024, by trespassing into a flat in Compassvale Crescent and punching a woman twice in the face.
Later the same day, he allegedly hurled vulgarities at two police officers, spat at one of them and was found with two vape devices.
According to the report, court documents also allege Lee was involved in seven separate traffic accidents between Oct 21, 2024, and Feb 6, 2025.
Three people were injured, including a taxi driver, a motorist who suffered a fractured wrist, and a motorcyclist who sustained a fractured wrist and other injuries.
The final crash allegedly occurred on Feb 6, 2025, when Lee was driving under the influence of undisclosed drugs and intoxicating substances before colliding with a lorry along Punggol North Avenue.
The Straits Times reported that, Lee also faces multiple charges of possessing vape devices on separate occasions between October 2024 and July 2025 at locations across Singapore.
He is accused of lying to a Traffic Police officer during questioning by denying he had inhaled the vaporisers.
