SINGAPORE, Dec 23 — Singapore today reported 21 new imported cases of Covid-19. There are no cases in the wider community.The Ministry of Health (MoH) said that 20 of the cases have no symptoms.

The 21 cases are:

― Three Singaporeans who returned from Canada and India

― Five permanent residents with travel histories to India and the United Kingdom

― Nine foreign domestic workers who arrived from Indonesia, India and Myanmar

― Two student’s pass holders who came from India

― Two short-term visit pass holders. One had arrived from India to visit his relatives here while the other had arrived from Sweden to board a ship docked in Singapore as a crew member

All 21 imported cases had been placed on stay-home notices upon their arrival in Singapore and they were tested for the coronavirus.

Overall, the number of new cases in the community has remained low with a total of one case in the past week who is not linked to other confirmed cases so far, MoH said.

Updates on remaining cases

The total number of infections in Singapore now stands at 58,482.

Of these, 58,322 people have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities, including 18 today.

There are still 34 patients in hospitals and most are in stable condition or improving. No one is in intensive care.

Another 97 patients are isolated at community facilities. They have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still tested positive for Covid-19.
